Tribute to Professor Dr. Alexandar Marincic (1933 - 2011)

Prof. Dr. Alexandar Marincic

Professor Dr. Alexandar Marincic was the previous President of the Tesla Memorial Society of New York. He was a previous director of the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade, Yugoslavia for 14 years. He opened the Tesla Museum in Belgrade to the Western World for scientists and researchers.

Prof. Dr. Alexandar Marincic was an internationally recognized expert on Nikola Tesla, radio and telecommunications.  He was a member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and the professor of telecommunications at Belgrade University. 

Prof. Marincic was also a writer of many articles, books and publications on Nikola Tesla, he is the co-author of the film, "Nikola Tesla: The Genius Who Lit the World" - together with Dr. Ljubo Vujovic, President, Tesla Memorial Society of New York. He was also an editor of many books published about Tesla by the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade. 

He translated from English into Serbian the famous autobiography of Michael Pupin, "From Immigrant to Inventor" which received the Pulitzer Prize in 1924 as the best autobiography in America at that time.

He was an UNESCO Expert for four years, stationed in Ankara, Turkey. His expertise and teachings included radio, telecommunication and the work of Nikola Tesla. Prof Marincic was a member and organizer of many International Symposiums of Nikola Tesla. He devoted his whole life to science and the work of Nikola Tesla. He was considered one of the most knowledgable individuals regarding Nikola Tesla, his work and patents.

The Tesla Memorial Society of New York and the Tesla movement around the world would like to honour Dr. Marincic for his work and tremendous contribution to popularizing and explaining Tesla's work and patents. We have lost a great man. There was no one in the world who knew Tesla's work better than Professor Alexandar Marincic.
